Lakeside Inn in Haltern am See

We come extra from Essen about once a week. Take long walks here with my French Bulldog, for example. around the Hummeler See and then we return, if we don't have Corona here. The Lakeside Inn has a great down-to-earth crowd during the week. I usually eat a salad here. The salad creation is terrific. There is something for every salad fan.

Now during Corona times, the paved parking lot is ideal for parking the car there to get to the Stever or the reservoir.

The food is average but tastes good. Unfortunately, the operation is definitely expandable. We were only asked for new drinks after all glasses and plates had been empty for a long time. It is always a bad habit, in my opinion, that only large drinks are offered on the terrace. We were also simply put outside without being asked.

Popped in to warm up during the motorcycle tour. We ordered hot chocolate and cappuccino. We probably forgot to order the cappuccino hot too. Unfortunately, it is only mild at an ambitious price.

Food is ok. But the service doesn't work at all. We have just sat down and were asked about the meal. We then asked that the waitress come again. But nobody came, although it was relatively manageable and the waitress looked at us twice. I don't have to have it again.

Super Service. Eat good. Large selection. Short waiting time and great ambience

Breakfast. Waited 40 minutes to be asked what we would like to drink. That's a bit long. (Yes, we asked several times.) Food was great and a good selection!

Very nice restaurant, due to the corona pandemic, very cool in the restaurant, but must be, because of the ventilation .... for the next time take warmer things with you Sachen ..... the food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio very good ich I can only recommend ...

We had dinner at the Lakeside Inn today and loved it. The service was very, very nice and we liked the food very much. We will definitely be back and can only recommend the restaurant! Many Thanks

Nice area .. Nice ambience. There are star deductions for the quality, cheap food at fairly exorbitant prices. Baked potatoes dry and the chicken cold out of the plastic packaging. To ask so much money for it is a cheek. I like to pay ... but for good food. And the other guests agree. Cheap food, everything dry. There isn't a little sauce with fried chicken strips unless you order it at an overpriced price, of course. Too bad.

The food there is great, that's why I go there alone. But if you talked about the service there are many shortcomings. You are left to sit for a long time before you are allowed to order, you are brought to the table and someone is said to be coming, then after 30 minutes somebody comes along, then the wrong food is brought to you, you get dirty plates and you are in the middle of eating then asked if it was the right meal and asked on the receipt. The drink is placed at the front of the table and should be passed on. Then you are left to sit again, 30-45 minutes until you can or want to order something again (2 drinks) You wait just as long for the bill. When asked, someone is always said to be coming ...

The ambience is really well done and has a real feel-good factor. Whether hamburgers, schnitzel, salad or unusual drinks (house lemonades), everything is available in XXL format ?. The employees are friendly, hardworking and are happy to fulfill an extra request. However, a reservation is necessary and advisable on weekends. The prices are quite high, but how often do you treat yourself to something ?! ?

We spent our resort excursion at Lakeside. The food was really great and the staff very friendly and attentive. We had ordered a table for 10 people outside, which was not possible due to the current situation. Which is also totally okay! But I would have liked to have tried to find a better alternative than sitting at two tables. Nevertheless we felt very comfortable and would come again and again :)!

It WAS good, I was told. And that's probably the best description. The desperados came with lemon. The "Homemade Watermelon Limmo" was seltzer with watermelon syrup. The cheese sauce of the nachos tasted like cream and the service was nice, but I know better from a restaurant.

Unfortunately no longer up to date. Ten years ago you could still offer a burger with a dry frozen patty, crumbly bun and uninspired sauces. But the burger culture has also developed in Germany and I only expect a burger like this in a swimming pool canteen. The staff was also very inflexible. Unfortunately not again.

Burhan, the service employee, told me 3 times that it would take 45 minutes for the meal to be ready. I had to experience twice that the smart order acceptance device did not work. Accordingly, my conscience was bad when I placed my order. We waited 50 minutes until the warmed up frozen treats reached our tidch. I didn't really expect good food in a US store. That it would be so bad surprised me. I bridged the waiting time with drinks. If you make yourself noticed, the chances of getting something are good. Finally, I wanted to pay by card ..... That finally overwhelmed Burhan and the electronic systems. The payment still worked. My receipt is probably still in the printer. 2 stars for the ambience and beer. The rest is awful.

Right now I don't really like going to the restaurant, but everything was well organized and everyone was super friendly, even though it was very busy. The small mixed salad was delicious too. Come back.

Basically great location! However, the Sunday breakfast buffet is not worth the price you ask here. The selection is sufficient, the quality partly absolutely okay, partly poor. Unfortunately, the rolls are all baked-on rolls, pancakes completely dry, scrambled eggs are a ready-made product typical of gastro large kitchens. Some other things (including wraps) were tasty, but they weren't a revelation either. Coffee is included in the price - but only simple filter coffee from dispensers. Didn't taste good. Other coffee products (cappuccino or the like are subject to a surcharge), the juices (also included) are terrible: both the apple juice and especially the orange juice are bad. In the end, you pay € 19.95 for everything. That is pretty steep - for my opinion.

The hygiene concept is very good and is 100% adhered to. We had a table outside and unfortunately it started to rain, unfortunately all the other tables were occupied so that we could not evade. The table was not simply delivered somewhere and that is the right thing to do nowadays. Unfortunately we couldn't eat then, but we didn't have to pay anything. The drinks were on the house. We'll definitely be back, keep it up! ! !

Very tasty burgers

Service is fast when not to busy, food and drinks are always a delight. Good atmosphere and a great opportunity to go for a walk before or after the meal.

Lakeside Inn is a perfect place to bring kids or even your dog! Right beside a little beach, plus there's a lovely walk in nature you can take here. Beers/Food served all day but a bit on the pricey side plus the staff are not that overly friendly or helpful. This place is always busy and we have gone here often enough over the past number of years. Nevertheless, I would still recommend going here.

Nice lunch

I already went a few times to this restaurant and I am very happy about it. The burgers are AMAZING and the service is very good. We never need to wait longer than 10 minutes until our food comes. The tables are very clean. It's a bit louder than other restaurants (at least during the weekend) but the atmosphere is still cosy. You can ask for a doggybag if you're not able to finish your burger. It is still very good after a few hours. If you're looking for burgers or ribs, be sure to visit this restaurant!
